Women’s Self Defence Workshop – April 2016
April saw Peter Squire and I run a repeat of our Women’s Self Defence Workshop in South Woodham Ferrers, as part of Team Pedro Sauer UK.
The session began with an run through of common assault scenarios, and the steps which an attacker might take.
The material covered came from the Gracie Jiu Jitsu syllabus; focussing on managing the distance and breaking away, and only using direct force when necessary.
The women in attendance did amazingly; with everyone leaving the session more confident in their ability to deal with a self defence situation!
