My latest trip to Iceland, for the 2017 Master Sauer seminar, had an awesome bonus this year; an additional three hour Gracie Jiu Jitsu session with PSBJJA Black Belts Johann Eyvindsson and David Porter.

Starting the session off, Johann showed his trademark ‘Viking Lock’; first teaching the set up, then giving a number of options on how and where to use it. An interesting option, it’s definitely something that I will play with and try to incorporate in to my own arsenal.

The second section saw David take centre stage, and teach some options on how to deal with first butterfly hooks, and then spider guard. There were some great principles and ideas presented; I took away fresh ideas on how to move and train.

I’d like to thank both Johann and David for presenting such a great session. I look forward to training with both of them again very soon in the future!
